Welcome to Circle of Friends!

We are a growing community of people who like to party and play together here in the Wow environment. Many of us have the same mindset of this is a game and that we all want to have fun playing it, but our definition of fun will be different from one person to the next. Some like farming mats and quest items for reputation, xp, and lets face it gold to get stuff. Others like to progress their characters levels to get further skills, and better damage/spells.

Still others work to get better gear for pvp/bg. All this is fine and many do this and more.

However you want to play, we're here to help when we can. That's what friends are for :)

If you are looking for a guild guideline here below is the best we came up with:

In general the best guideline I have seen has been the Golden Rule--do onto others as you would have others do onto you. In other words, if you wouldn't want something done to you by action or inaction of another towards you; then you should not do that action or withhold that action.

With that being said, there are certain items many feel are common courtesy, I suggest these should be followed:

  1. Treat everyone with respect, honor, and dignity at all times

  2. Remember that your actions reflect on the entire guild, inappropriate behavior in the presence of non guidlie reflects poorly upon us all and will not be tollerated.

  3. Follow group loot rules in an instance--ask before you need. If you must leave an event and know ahead of time let the group lead know before joining a group/raid so they can make accomodations for adding a player later.

  4. Take only what you need from the guild bank. Put in what you can.  NEVER take any item(s) to sell or for use outside of the guild, this is not acceptable on any level.

Above all else, we are all here to have fun, as this is a game, and since we are all friends lets be kind and considerate of everyone

I wanted to give special nod to my officers and helpful people in this guild, they are the rock we all stand on and the reason I'm still sane!  ALL OF YOU and I mean all of you are important, well loved and needed.  This guild isn't about me, or any one person.  We are a growing community of like minded folks where no one person is less valued than another, it's the whole reason we are here in the first place, as a RESPECT AND HONOR guild.  Special nod to all officers and people who step up every day, but they are not here to be served, rather to serve those who really make up this guild our rank and file members who make it happen every day.

I also wanted to thank Ester for all her hard work on this webpage, she's the one who designed it and helped make it happen!

Thank you and God bless.

New Recruit Handbook

Circle of Friends, May 22, 10 2:06 AM.
Simply put we need to have a means of letting new people know "what the rules are"

You can see our basic rules in guild info and in our welcome, here it is so you can read and comment on it, please understand these are pretty basic and if you object to these rules this guild may not be for you.
1.Treat everyone with respect, honor, and dignity at all times

2.Remember that your actions reflect on the entire guild, inappropriate behavior in the presence of non guidlie reflects poorly upon us all and will not be tollerated.

3.Follow group loot rules in an instance--ask before you need. If you must leave an event and know ahead of time let the group lead know before joining a group/raid so they can make accomodations for adding a player later.

4.Take only what you need from the guild bank. Put in what you can. NEVER take any item(s) to sell or for use outside of the guild, this is not acceptable on any level.

Also please, no begging or abusive language towards others in guild chat or whispers.  IF  you wouldn't want someone to "bug" you about money or be nasty to you in whisper then don't do it to your fellow guildies.

Remember also there is a "no spamming" rule in guild chat, pictures and such are cute but someone may have asked a question and another person misses it because of your spam.  If it's spam on chat/trade channel chances are its' spam here too.

Abusive language, trash talk and swearing isn't cool, it's nt funny and it's not allowed here, please refrain from using it, thanks.  We all have been guilty of using words not acceptible in public, I'm bad when angry, but I ask we try to curb it please.  If you woul be embarrased to have your grandmom read something maybe you shouldn't post it here.

Thanks and above all else if you want to have a friend, be one!

Circle of Friends Renews Raiding!

Circle of Friends, May 22, 10 1:54 AM.
Circle of Friends has begun 10 man runs and running randoms, it needs healers, tanks and above all else, YOU!
Check your calendar daily
Sign up and confirm if you want to go!
Make sure to show up at least 15 minutes before event starts
If you can't make it or are going to be late let someone in officer status know!
If you want a raid or event ask us to post it for you or post it yourself
Please remember that other guildies want to do this too, so make sure to ask around before pugging it

If for some reason a member of the raid becomes disconnected *dc'd is the term we recognize for this condition.  IF the memeber get's dc'd the person is given a minimum of 5 minutes before we start looking for a replacement, and a maximum of 10 minutes before the replacement is commenced. If the raid leader is notified or another member is notified that the person is attempting to get on and is having difficulty the raid leader may at their descression and with the permission of the majority of the raid, wait longer.  It is advised that no raid should wait more than 20 minutes for a person who has disconnected.   It is understood that this person will be replaced and given a chance to run again with no penalty for next time.

Thanks :)

COF now has non coms to help run the guild

Circle of Friends, Sep 15, 09 9:33 PM.
The raider and core raider rank now has some responsibility as well as power, they will be able to talk and listen in on officer chat and they will send us notifications of anyone who misbehaves or does a good deed in guild while no officer is on hand, and will be able to whisper/warn folks who do misbehave.

They also will have advisory powers able to give suggestions to officers to implement changes needed and also they will be given recruiter status.
